Judicial Selection and the Legal System

In the first program in a series on the Legal System, former Colorado Supreme Court Justices Rebecca Love Kourlis ((Executive Director of the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System) and Gregory Hobbs (currently a Senior Water Judge) join University of Colorado Law Professor Melissa Hart and Legal System reformer Matt Arnold (Director of Clear the Bench Colorado)  to debate Colorado's current system of selecting judges. They discuss the advantages of merit- and election-based systems as well as other aspects of the Legal System, how it can be improved, and what role politics plays in the process.  A segment of one of four interviews Aaron did with Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor is included in the program.
